Reusing PowerPoint material – method 3

In this section, we will show you how to perform an import using Prezi's own import feature. This method of importing has its benefits but also a couple of drawbacks.

The really useful feature for this method of importing is that everything in your PowerPoint can be edited after the import. However, the downside is that after the import, everything will in fact need to be edited.

Be aware that when you use this feature to import content from PowerPoint, the PowerPoint design template does not get transferred. You will be transferring the content alone.

The Insert menu options are shown in the following screenshot:

Getting ready

  1. Open your prezi.
  2. Zoom into an empty area of the canvas (as you may need to edit your imported PowerPoint material before before deciding the final placements for it).

How to do it…

  1. In the prezi, click on Insert.
  2. Choose PowerPoint.
  3. Locate the PowerPoint file in your filesystem and click on Open.
  4. Your slides will now appear...
