Detaching a prezi from your online Prezi account
All prezis in your main overview window in Prezi for Windows/Mac will be synced as soon as you click on the Refresh button.
Sometimes, this is not what you want, maybe because a prezi is your specific version of a more generic presentation. Or there may be an online prezi that you decide to not store online any longer for security reasons.
If you need to store a prezi on your computer only, and it is not to be synced with your online account, we recommend downloading the prezi and saving it as a prezi file. This file format is called pez
.
How to do it…
Creating a .pez
file in Prezi for Windows/Mac is easy:
- Hover over the lines icon on the top-right corner of the prezi's thumbnail.
- Choose Export to prezi file (.pez).
- Pick a location in your filesystem for the prezi to be stored.
- Later, when you are working in Prezi for Windows/Mac and need to access your .
pez
file, use the Import a prezi command that is located just below the list of folders...
