Understanding service accounts versus individual accounts
In the previous section, we discussed the importance of establishing a good strategy when setting up environments for your applications. However, an equally important topic is around service accounts and individual accounts. Why is this? Here are two very simple examples.
- Example 1: Tom builds an automated flow that sends automated emails to users. Because the flow is tied to Tom’s Microsoft account, the email appears to be sent from Tom. Even though the email provides clear instructions for people to contact another email address for questions, because the email is sent from Tom’s account, he will inevitably end up receiving questions from users who neglect to read the email fully.
