We have learned that CAS permits convenient the monitoring and mitigation of risky events and behaviors in your environment, such as irregular access or bulk activities. Because we can connect to, and monitor, many different apps and integrate with Azure ATP (as we'll see in the next chapter), CAS becomes our portal where everything comes together.
We also saw how CAS extends your data protection abilities by providing the option to protect other connected business apps, such as Dropbox or Google products, within your environment.
You learned that you can manage your alerts to make sure you're not over- or under-alerted once you begin to investigate and find root causes for certain alerts. You're also able to mark alerts as legitimate or not, which helps the system learn and report more effectively in the future.
