Rendering individual clips

Lumion allows us not only to export an entire movie, but it also gives us the autonomy to render or export individual clips. Every time we click on the Save Movie button, the entire movie is exported. So, this opportunity of exporting single clips can be quite useful, in particular, when we wish to manipulate these different clips later with video editing applications such as Adobe Premiere. Let's see how we can export one clip at a time.

Getting ready

For this recipe, we need to create one simple clip to understand how this feature works.

How to do it…

To render an individual clip, perform the following steps:

  1. After you open the Movie mode, select a clip you wish to export.
  2. Once selected, two buttons will appear over the clip, as shown in the following screenshot:

  3. The button with the trash bin icon lets you delete the clip, but be careful because there is no undo option for this action. You need to double-click on this button to delete the clip.
