Summary
In this chapter, we focused on the enterprise portfolio planning and adoption mechanism of the DevOps 360° evolution. Initially, we explained its vital value proposition for the evolution, and afterward, we argued why your adoption should be divided between a tactical and an organic approach. On the tactical side, we discussed its arguments, highlighting its strategic importance in the organic evolution. Moving on, we looked into the main strategic domains that organizations focus on when appointing candidates for the tactical adoption, the parameters of differentiation between the tactical and organic adoption candidates, and what the concept of all hands on deck implies for the tactical adoption. Afterward, we moved on to presenting a practical approach for the enterprise portfolio planning and adoption mechanism, focusing on the organizational enablement and adoption of the DevOps OKRs.
