Following first-response procedures
Before starting with the first-response procedures, you will need to prepare a Universal Serial Bus (USB) device to create your kit with all the tools and configuration necessary to perform the exercises of this chapter. This is the equivalent of having a first aid kit to use in case of an emergency.
For this exercise, you will need your pen drive ready and then follow these steps:
- Right-click the mouse button, select the disk drive of your pen drive to open the context menu, and then select the Format... option.
- In the Format dialog box, on the File system option, select NTFS or exFAT (this format is useful in environments different from Windows, such as macOS or Linux, providing full read-write support), as shown in the following screenshot:
