Fixing the mesh body
We have a few tools at our disposal to help clean up and patch up some holes in our mesh. This is mostly what the MESH environment can do. It is not a buildable workspace like the other tabs, such as SOLID or SURFACE. These tools are mainly for editing purposes. Some work great while others may not work the way you had hoped. The best way to see which ones work and which don’t is to test and see, so follow along with me:
- Click on the MESH tab and notice that there are a lot more tools within this environment.
Most tools are used for selecting and repairing the mesh body rather than recreating mesh surfaces. We need to first clean up the mesh by removing extra geometry that was added when my father was scanned. Orbit to view the bottom of the mesh and notice that there are some extra triangles located near the head and also near the bottom as well.
