Summary
This chapter started with the requirements approach that supports the requirements engineering efforts of a portal solution. We covered very high-level functional and nonfunctional business and IT requirements. Then we looked at major steps defined by portal architecture — best practices. We mapped out the requirements and the strategy for testing the requirements. We finished with the customer validation of the functional and nonfunctional requirements, which leads to the next iteration effort, that is, analysis and design, and implementation and monitoring of such requirements.
