In this chapter we've explored the support D3 has for geo-related visualizations. We started with explaining the different ways geo data can be represented and projected. We've seen that D3 supports many different kinds of projections, from the standard Mercator projection to very specific projections like the Albers US projection. For the first visualization in this chapter we showed how easy it is to combine different data sources and quickly create an election map using the same principles we've used in previous chapters. After that, we showed how can add custom shapes, circles in this case, to the map to enhance the standard projections. In that example, we also provided a simple dropdown which can be used to explore the different supported projections. Finally, we showed that it is also very straightforward to animate the projections by creating a rotating globe. In this final example...
