Introducing Selenium
Selenium is an open source tool used for automating tests we run on a web application. Selenium is a web-based application. We can automate the testing using Selenium. Selenium supports many browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. You don't need scripting or development knowledge to get started with Selenium, a person with administration experience can also start setting up Selenium. Using a record/playback tool in Selenium, we can perform tests without knowledge of the scripting language. Selenium supports multiple platforms, including Windows, Linux, and Mac. We are going to look at the steps to set up Selenium on Mac.
Setting up Selenium using Firefox
We will set up Selenium with Firefox on macOS. The installation steps for Firefox might differ, depending on your operating system. We will be using Mac in this example.
