Virtual desktop infrastructure
vSphere 6.0 provides extensive power to desktop virtualization. With vSphere 6.0, virtual desktop applications such as VMware Horizon View 6 can use NVIDIA Virtual Graphics Processing Unit (vGPU) to take advantage of NVIDIA GRID video cards, when present in the host, to display superior 2D and 3D graphics using native NVIDIA GRID drivers. With the use of vGPU, desktop virtualization environments gain efficiency at scale by utilizing the benefits of pooled GPU resources and eliminating the need of 1 to 1 GPU to virtual desktop mappings.
