User Acceptance Testing
In the previous chapter, we discussed various aspects of traceability and how it can help the team identify and fix variance between the actual business requirements and the final functional solution. We had the chance to discuss which key elements to capture, the types of requirements for a good traceability matrix, and the advantages we can derive from being able to trace requirements effectively and address any gaps in coverage.
In this chapter, we will explore why user acceptance is crucial for a successful go-live. We will look at how we can improve user adoption and gain trust by working with business testers. We will see how we can work with business users and help them test real-life business end-to-end scenarios. We will explore and see the ways to focus on getting feedback on usability by encouraging testers to follow through with end-to-end scenarios and exploratory testing.
