Designing automation
Automation is a sequence of activities that carry out the task you want to automate. Automation comprises several steps, and each step can act upon applications and screens running on a computer. You can execute automation on your desktop using your local desktop agent manually or per a defined schedule. Automations are the Cloud Studio counterpart of scenarios in Desktop Studio.
As shown in the following screenshot, we design Automation by creating an automation artifact:
- To create an automation artifact, go to + | Create | Automation:

- Choose the desired agent version, click Confirm, and fill in a name for your automation – for example, we named our automation
book_automation. We are presented with the following screen. You can see the automation name (1), the automation template (2), and a list of tools (3) available to build your automation:
