Creating a rigid body world
The keyword “rigid” in Rigid Body distinguishes the simulation from other kinds of physics simulations such as Fluid, Cloth, or Soft Body. Pick something up and throw it – if it doesn’t splatter, bend, or jiggle, you can think of it as a rigid body object.
It may surprise you how easy it is to get started with rigid body physics. We’ll begin by creating the simplest rigid body simulation there is.
Our first rigid body simulation
Rigid body physics simulation is automatically enabled when one or more objects in your scene is a rigid body. Any mesh object in your scene can be a rigid body.
The settings for this can be found in the selected mesh object’s Physics Properties tab:

Important note
Objects don’t affect simulations unless they are given specific Physics Properties (such as Rigid Body).
