Introducing templates
Templates are useful to assist with the transition from linear presentations to a more dynamic format. It can be slightly overwhelming or awkward to get used to, and you might find that, to begin with, a lot of your Prezi presentations may have a fairly linear flow. Don't think that using a template will limit your ability to be creative; they are simply a good time saver. You can still add your own content, tweak the theme, or even rebuild it using the basic elements. The reason we are exploring them is because they are brilliant for when you don't have much time, perhaps due to heavy workload or a last-minute presentation being sprung on you by a client or a colleague.
The templates can help you understand the benefit of a nonlinear style and once you get to grips with it, you might find it to be rather liberating. If you are not so cautious or anxious about moving to a new nonlinear style, then you may find that you end up being rather overenthusiastic...
