Managing Courses and Enrolments
Moodle stores learning resources and activities in courses, which is the topic of this chapter, which has been divided into two main parts: course management and course enrolments.
In the first part of this chapter, you will learn about the following aspects of managing courses and course categories:
- Organizing courses into categories and subcategories
- Creating and managing courses
- Adding custom course fields
- Dealing with course requests
- Managing courses in bulk
In the second part of the chapter, we will cover different ways of enrolling users in courses. The enrolment mechanisms that will be covered are the following:
- Internal enrolment (manual, self, and guest)
- Cohort enrolment and synchronization
- Database-driven enrolment (LDAP, external databases, flat files, and IMS Enterprise files)
