For a successful installation of Microsoft Azure Backup Agent, these prerequisites must be met:

The account that is being used to install Microsoft Azure Backup Agent is a member of the local Administrators group on the server or has been granted the similar permissions
Microsoft Azure Backup Agent is supported to be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 operating systems and higher
Always use the latest version that you can download from the Microsoft Azure Management Portal
