Copying business rules

You will often need to create similar rules for different fields. It can be quicker to copy a rule and make changes than to create a new rule from scratch.

There is no copy rule option. Instead, you edit an existing rule and use the Save As button.

The Save As function creates a copy of the business name with Copy of prefixing the name of the new rule. You should first rename the copied rule.

Business rules are linked to an entity. You cannot copy business rules from one entity to another.
