Introduction
Microsoft Office is a related suite of applications. Just as the Dynamics platform encompasses multiple products, so does the Office product line. The three most popular programs are Word, Excel, and Outlook which serve as a word processor, spreadsheet application, and e-mail manager respectively. NAV does not offer the same functionality that these applications provide and integrating with them can open many new possibilities for the users of the software.
Office also comes with other, lesser known, programs that are used by many companies. We will also examine three of such products. The first is InfoPath which is used to generate XML-based forms for users to enter and view data. We will learn about Office Communicator, an enterprise instant messaging and meeting utility. Finally, we will take a look at Visio which is used for diagrams and flowcharts.
