Being a proponent of the physical cloud controller, efforts made towards clustering machines are considered a step in the right direction of achieving high availability. Several HA topologies will be discussed in Chapter 9, OpenStack HA and Failover.
As we have seen the use cases of several services at this point, which can be separated and clustered, we will extend our logical design of the cloud controller described in Chapter 1, Designing OpenStack Cloud Architectural Consideration. Keep in mind that OpenStack is a highly configurable platform and the rest of the description is an example that suits a certain requirement and specific conditions.
