The Rockwell ControlLogix 1756-OB16E digital output card provides a shared power (+) source and a shared power sink (-), which are used to power our dosing pumps. Before wiring up our pumps, we will need to connect our power supply to the cards' shared source and sink and our bus bars' shared sink (negative).
In the following exercise, we will create the power cord for our 12 V power supply module.
Creating a power cable for the 12 V power supply
The following exercise is very similar to the exercise carried out in the Creating a power cable for the 1756-PA75 power supply section, where we created a power cable for the 1756-PA75.
Never cut or touch the ends of cable that is plugged into an outlet. Be sure to disconnect the power from the wire before cutting it and do not attempt to wire the A/C power while the power cord is plugged in.
