Purchasing a ControlLogix1756-PA75 rack power supply

The 1756-PA75 chassis power supply provides a clean and stable power source to the chassis and cards of our ControlLogix control system.

The following is a photo of a 1756-PA75 power supply that has been removed from a rack:

The 1756-PA75 power supply attaches to the left side of the ControlLogix rack and provides power to the CPU and control modules. For our project, it will still be necessary to purchase dedicated power supplies to run our bartender pumps as this power supply only provides power to the backplane and any cards attached to it. It is common to purchase a power supply already attached to a rack, which is perfectly fine for our purposes. Now that we have the power supply, we will need a rack to attach it to and power.

In the next section, we will discuss some of the various rack sizes available and make a selection for our project.
