Creating a JavaScript data structure and algorithm library
Starting in this chapter, we are going to going to create our own JavaScript data structure and algorithm library. The source code bundle of this book has been prepared for this task.
After downloading the source code, and with Node.js installed on your computer as instructed in Chapter 1, JavaScript – A Quick Overview, change the directory to the project's folder and execute the command npm install
, as demonstrated in the following screenshot:
With all dependencies installed (node_modules
), you will have access to scripts that will allow you to test, generate a test coverage report, and also generate a file named PacktDataStructuresAlgorithms.min.js
that contains all the source code we will create, starting from this chapter. The following are the files from our library and some of the files we will create in this chapter:
The source code we will create in this chapter can be found in the src/js
 directory, organized by category. There...
