Managing backup and restore
At the time of writing of this book, Azure Arc doesn't provide a different mechanism from backup and restore in the SQL Managed Instance data services. You can use the same SQL database backup and restore tools as you'd use in any other SQL environment. Backup is managed at a database level rather than at a managed instance level.
You can plan to back up databases to URL (Azure Blob storage). Please refer to the following documentation to plan out backup and recovery using Blob Storage: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/relational-databases/backup-restore/sql-server-backup-to-url?view=sql-server-ver15.
