vCloud Air
vCloud Air was launched by VMware in early 2013, but now is a part of a French cloud service provider, OVH. Basically vCloud air is the public cloud built atop of VMware technologies such as vSphere and vRA - the vRealize Automation suite of products, which is the infrastructure down CMP offering from VMware itself.
The system added the public cloud counterpart onto a vRealize-based private cloud setup. Since the underlying technology will be VMware in both places, it will make it easier to move the machines around and use the same templates, thereby making it hybrid.Â
