There is a wealth of resources available for you to get details about the target sources which you should be familiar with when performing a penetration test. In this chapter, we learned how to research a target and use the information collected to understand the victim.

In the next chapter, we will build on the lessons learned during information-gathering and move to acting on this information through the use of scanning and enumeration.
