Learning about authorization and security

The next two sections of Account settings that will be covered are Authorization and Security. These are two separate sections on the settings page, but both relate in terms of ensuring that your LaunchDarkly account and the access to it are secure. Let's begin with the Authorization section:

There are two aspects to this section, as follows:

  • Authorized applications: These are the applications that connect to this LaunchDarkly account through an OAuth connection. They are used for integrations with other tools, such as Slack or Microsoft Teams. This type of integration can be useful for receiving notifications or as a trigger when key events occur in LaunchDarkly.
