Integrating the Red Team and External Tools

As we begin to conclude our introduction to the Kali Purple operating system, there are still a few voids here and there that we have to fill. We’ve covered a robust suite of blue team tools but not all of the tools this operating system has to offer are for cyber defense. In this chapter, we’re going to take a look at some tools that are native to Kali Linux from before the Purple distribution came into existence. We are also going to look at some very popular red team tools that are compatible with Kali Linux but may not necessarily be included in a default distribution.

Hopefully, you’ve invested some time within the cybersecurity community before – or at least during – reading this book. If not, please do know that it’s okay for you to do that! At any rate, regardless of what independent study you might have enjoyed, you’ve probably noticed a few of the same brands being thrown around...
