Implementing a Windows Server Failover Cluster
In this chapter, we will learn how to design and configure Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC). We will cover how to successfully establish the building blocks for WSFC, how to configure various storage options, and how to successfully design and configure the appropriate network settings for the Failover Cluster. Finally, we will learn how to configure cluster workload options, including details on when and how to use Cluster Sets and Scale-Out File Server (SOFS) to achieve continuously available application storage.
This chapter will include exercises on how to gain familiarity with the designs, techniques, and tools to create and manage WSFC components and workloads on-premises, with hybrid components and services, and in the cloud consistent with the AZ-801 exam objectives.
