Monitoring Azure Virtual Machines performance using VM Insights

Azure VM Insights monitors the overall health and performance of your environment’s virtual machines and virtual machine scale sets, keeping track of any running processes, as well as their dependencies on other resources throughout the environment. Like System Insights, VM Insights provides administrators with predictable availability and performance information for both systems and applications and grants insights into the availability of upstream or downstream dependencies.

VM Insights offers support for the following Windows and Linux workloads:

• Azure virtual machines and virtual machine scale sets.
• On-premises virtual machines.
