Introduction to Azure Migrate

Azure Migrate is a tool that helps you discover and assess on-premises workloads for migration and modernization into Azure. After configuring the Azure Migrate appliance, the service assesses the readiness of a particular VM or workload, providing performance-based recommendations on size, suggesting a migration tool for a successful migration, completing dependency analysis, and giving in-depth cost estimates for running the identified workloads in Azure. Azure Migrate is quite extensible and, as such, integrates with a large amount of third-party Independent Software Vendor (ISV) tools from some well-known integrators, as shown in Figure 14.1 and outlined at this URL: https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/migrate/migrate-services-overview#isv-integration.
