Using Storage Migration Service to migrate to Azure Virtual Machines

As we have learned throughout this book, Windows Admin Center tends to make a lot of administrative tasks more straightforward and easily configurable for any environment. Many of the steps from the on-premises source to on-premises destination server migration are identical. Let’s focus on some alternative steps to utilize an Azure VM instead of an on-premises server:

1. During this approach, instead of selecting Use an existing server or VM as part of phase 2, we select Create a new Azure VM, as shown in Figure 13.22:

2. Here, we are presented with the details pane to create an Azure VM on the fly, as shown in Figure 13.23:
