Installation and configuration of the UCS Management Pack in VMware vROps
In this recipe, we will learn how to install the Cisco UCS Manager Adapter for VMware vRealize Operations Manager 6.
Getting ready
The Cisco UCS Manager Adapter for VMware vRealize Operations Manager enables you to monitor the UCS domains on vRealize Operations Manager. The pack uses the XML API exposed by Cisco UCS Manager to collect the monitoring data from UCS domains. This enables you to monitor the health and faults of the various resources in the UCS domain and its impact on the virtual infrastructure that is running on it. Before you configure the Cisco UCS Manager adapter, assume that the VMware vRealize Operations Manager (Virtual Appliance) is already integrated into the VMware environment and there is one Cisco UCS domain (2 Fabric Interconnect 6248UP connected to one Cisco UCS 5108 chassis) is running on your environment.
