Appendix C: Numbering Systems and Conversions

We are taught to use the decimal numbering system, and we can say that we feel comfortable every time we have to play with the numbers in that system. However, in addition to the decimal numbering system, there are also other numerical systems that have found application in certain technological areas. Some of these numerical systems are: binary, octal, and hexadecimal.
