Summary
This chapter provided us with an overview of the licensing models within Azure Stack Hub. This introduced us to two different models; that is, the pay-as-you-use and capacity models. We looked at how Windows and SQL Server licensing is utilized in Azure Stack Hub, including the ability to use licenses bought outside of Azure Stack Hub. We then looked at the process of purchasing Azure Stack Hub, including via an OEM vendor. Finally, we looked at some considerations that need to be taken into account if Azure Stack Hub is managed by a CSP. This introduced us to both the direct and indirect CSP operating models. We then walked through the process of creating a partner account for registering for Azure Stack Hub and finished by looking at some roles and responsibilities across the various operating models.
This chapter has set us up for the next chapter, where we will look at consumption usage, tracking, and billing in greater detail. Please join me for the penultimate chapter...
