Using system variables
A system variable is a setting that controls the behavior of AutoCAD commands. They contain “default” values for their operation and can even control the appearance of the user interface.
SETVAR
To get a list of all system variables, use the SETVAR command or the new System Variables command in the Express Tools:
- Open the
13-3_AutoCAD
Configuration.dwg
file. - Using the In-Canvas View Controls, restore Custom Model Views | 1-HPLAYER named view.
- Using the Express Tools ribbon and the Tools panel, select the System Variables command.
- Using the System Variables dialog, review the listed system variables.
- Select the HPLAYER system variable to view the current and available settings.
Note
Use the FILTER field in the System Variables dialog to simplify finding a specific variable.
