The Alfresco Explorer user interface can be customized to display your personal dashboard information, such as the pending tasks, checked out documents, and a list of press releases. Presentation templates can be applied to spaces, as well as to content. By using a Custom View on a space, you can consolidate all the important information in one place.
You can store content in the Alfresco repository in native XML format and use FreeMarker custom templates to display the XML data in various formats, such as PDF and HTML. You have an option of separating the actual content with display information so that you can leverage the ability of having multiple views of the same content.
