Python is hugely popular for advanced statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Until recently, it wasn't possible to use Python in Spotfire, but now it is, thanks to an extension that was developed by TIBCO. Using this extension, you can work with Python just as easily as you can with TERR or open source R.

In order to be able to use the Python data function, the extension must be deployed to your Spotfire server environment and then downloaded into your Spotfire Analyst client. Currently, it does not work with TIBCO Cloud Spotfire.
