Getting feedback on usability
In this section, let’s explore the usability of the system. Findings around usability, such as simplification, easier navigation, and an intuitive screen flow, are not easy to uncover. We may not have a test script or test scenario for this kind of finding and, if not addressed, it may impact the usability of the system, resulting in low adoption.
By working closely with these UAT testers, you can discover these undefined, undocumented findings. I call these findings because they are not defects in the true sense, nor are they enhancement requests and we cannot tag them to a specific test script or even a requirement. You can call them anything, but the important thing to note here is that you have to address this for your end users. Make provisions for this kind of finding and prepare the team beforehand so that you stop bleeding valuable time during the UAT phase.
