MIB database updates
Technology changes faster than we can all keep up with sometimes. New smartphones, computers, tablets, network devices, and software are released almost every day which makes it difficult to keep up with changes. In the network and server world, new equipment with new software is also released every day. With these new devices comes new information (or OIDs) for monitoring them using Orion NPM. Orion NPM does a pretty good job of being able to monitor just about every single network device using SNMP, since every device has some type of standard OIDs that can be polled. But there are still some aspects of a device that you may want to monitor that Orion NPM cannot poll for out of the box. This is where you will need to update the Orion MIB database.
