Planning the cut-over activities
Data migration is typically the most important thing that happens just before going live, but it is in no way the only thing both your team of consultants and the client's team are working on in those days. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, we might start the so-called cut-over activities 2 days before going live, or a week, or sometimes more in some rare cases. The most important factor in this schedule is how long it will take to perform the imports. For most client accounts, there are a limited number of import queues we can perform CSV imports with, so we need to plan (as I mentioned in the previous section).
