Access levels are where the privileges are combined with the business unit hierarchy to determine the privileges for each record. The following screenshot shows how access levels are represented on the security role page:

As shown in the previous screenshot, there are five access levels:
- None:Â An empty circle with a red boundary. This means the user will not have this privilege.
- User: A quarter-filled yellow circle. If a user owns the record, they will have this privilege.
- Business Unit:Â A yellow semi-circle. If a user is in the same business unit as the record, they will have this privilege.
- Parent: Child Business Units: A three-quarter-filled green circle. If a record is in the same business unit as the user, or in a business unit in the hierarchy underneath the user, they will have this privilege.
