Allowing others to use Metabase
Now that our Metabase instance can send emails out with our nicely branded Metabase URL, it's finally time to invite others in our organization to join the party.
There are a few different ways to do this, depending on how your organization manages identities. In this section, we will learn three ways to add users in your organization:
- Manually, by sending individual emails out
- Integrating with Google sign-in
- Using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
Inviting users by their email addresses
Let's learn the simplest way to invite users to Metabase – sending individual emails out. This is a great option if you have a small team. To get started, visit the admin panel:
- On the top purple bar, click on People.
- Click the Add Someone button.
- Fill out the form, entering the first and last name as well as the email address.
- Optionally, you can add this user to the Admin group.
