We are living in a connected world. Businesses are using cloud-based applications and B2B connections more and more. Microsoft AD FS allows engineers to handle identity requirements for such scenarios in an effective and secure manner, which we cannot get from traditional methods.
In this chapter, you learned what AD FS is, and how it works in the infrastructure. We also looked into the AD FS components and their characteristics. Later, we moved into the AD FS deployment and learned how to configure AD FS and integrate it with the Web Application Proxy. Last but not least, we looked into the Azure MFA integration with on-premises AD FS.
In the next chapter, we will look into another AD role service Active Directory Rights Management Service, which we can use to safeguard sensitive data in corporation.
