Rendering an image sequence

A movie is made up of a sequence of frames that we play at a high speed, and this gives us the impression that a car is moving or a person is walking. However, instead of exporting a video file, we can export the movie as a sequence of images. Once more, this feature is useful when we do some post-production work with an external application. Let's see how we can export an image sequence and a set of images.

Getting ready

For this recipe, we need to record a clip using five or any other number of snapshots because we will be using this to export our images using a singular feature.

How to do it…

To export an image sequence, perform the following steps:

  1. In the Movie mode, after creating at least one clip, click on the Save Movie button.
  2. By default, Lumion shows you the MP4 tab to export a video file, but for this recipe, select the second tab called Images.
  3. You need to click on the Auto button to access more settings and control the type of output you need...
