Defining Intent requests
Before defining Intent requests, let's learn some basics about Intents. Intents help us launch an activity of our own application or another application. Google Maps provides several Intents that can be used with our application. Four operations can be performed using Google Maps. They are as follows:
Display a map in Google Maps of a specified location with a specified zoom level
Search for a specified location and display it on Google Maps
Display turn-by-turn navigation using one of the three modes: driving, walking, and bicycling
Display the Street View imagery
To make an Intent request, we must initially define an Intent
object. The Intent should contain three components. They are:
Action
URI
Package
