Creating a slideshow presentation with JessyInk
JessyInk is a suite of extensions that use JavaScript code to turn Inkscape layers into presentation slides, viewable in any SVG-enabled browser. You can consider it an alternative to business presentation packages like Microsoft PowerPoint and OpenOffice.org Impress, and it can also be used for highly customized image galleries.
In this recipe we will create a simple presentation using Inkscape and JessyInk.
Getting ready
First of all we need to install the necessary JessyInk extensions, which are not packaged with Inkscape and must be downloaded separately. Fortunately, Inkscape provides an extension that works like an automated installer; you can find it in the menu, Extensions | JessyInk | Install/update.
