As a Sametime administrator you want your company to get the maximum benefit from the features available to them. Business Card brings a level of personal engagement to online communications. This allows someone to not only easily see a person's contact details, but also to view a thumbnail photograph of them. The photo can be useful in so many ways—you or your users may never have met their Sametime contact in person, there may be multiple matches on the individual's name, or perhaps they only know the person by sight. Including a photo helps to personalize the chat so the conversation is occurring with more than just an awareness icon or a name. As many of our daily online contacts are people we rarely meet in person, the Business Card tool is invaluable in solidifying these remote relationships.
