Appendix D. What's New in RTC v3.0

Rational Team Concert 3.0 is available as a general release as of November 2010. This book is based on Rational Team Concert version 2.0.0.3. While most of the features discussed are provided in version 3, some new ones have been added, such as a new licensing model for the server, better integration with the Rational Quality Manager, support for distributed source control management, additional methods for more traditional planning models, and adoption of the OpenSocial standard for the Dashboard, allowing integration with Gmail or iGoogle. This Appendix gives a brief overview of these new features of Jazz Team Server and Rational Team Concert 3.0.
